65.5 MYA: I began.

second-year college student who is one of the many sufferers of an incessant mind. Double-majoring in geology and biology, with a minor in awesomeness. I take a lot of pictures of my Eublepharis macularius, Butterfingers "'Fingers", with random objects.

you know what i’m sick of

being inundated with these images saying it’s okay and it gets better and just breathe you’re fine—

because what if it doesn’t get better—we could have just seen the start of what hell this world has to offer

i think it’s more important to be reminded that everything might go to shit and you’ll have to learn to be ok with that instead of yeah you’ll wake up one morning and life will be perfect

“Mental illness is a myth.”

To give you an idea of how ignorant people are, and how taboo discussion of mental illness remains, here are some screenshots I took just now.

mental illness is the fashionable explanation for sin

it all makes sense now

i literally cannot reblog this enough because there are people who genuinely feel this way about people with mental illnesses and it creates a real source of shame and frustration for those with it because not only do they have to fight against themselves, they also have to fight against really harmful stereotypes trying to shame them for having something they CANNOT CONTROL

who the fuck googles “depressed people are annoying”

WHY

thought i would create a powerpoint on this since the post went down well yesterday

Quite good, but I do suggest fetching them something cool (water would be best, but a bottle of soda could work to). Drinking can help, as can resting the bottle on the back of their neck
